David Ficadenti, in collaboration with Montage Partners, is seeking to acquire and operate a company in the aerospace & defense industry as CEO to build a distinct platform aligned with secular tailwinds. Key markets include Arizona, Utah, Colorado, California, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas, and target verticals include aerospace & defense manufacturing, defense & space electronics, and government technology & services. The combined platform will also enable technology, accounting, marketing, and other resources, which will drive more value to customers and employees.

Criteria

AEROSPACE & DEFENSE MANUFACTURING

  • Airframe and engine part manufacturing
  • Avionics and electronic components
  • Distribution, USM, and supply chain management
  • Engineered components and equipment
  • MRO and PMA component suppliers
  • Consumables, piece parts, and lower-level assemblies

DEFENSE & SPACE ELECTRONICS

  • Missiles and munitions
  • Space payload and bus subsystems and components
  • Unmanned and autonomy
  • C5ISR subsystems and components
  • Defense electronics

GOVERNMENT TECHNOLOGY & SERVICES

  • Intelligence, data analytics and visualization, space, cyber, software, logistics, and mission support

SOUTHWEST FOCUS

Target states include Arizona, Utah, Colorado, California, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas.

OTHER CRITERIA

  • $1.5 – $7.0 million EBITDA
  • EBITDA margins: > 15% preferred
  • Stable revenue and scalable growth potential
  • High degree of recurring revenue

David Ficadenti

David has over 15 years of experience in the aerospace, defense, and government services industry, including as a Vice President at Honeywell Aerospace. During his time at Honeywell, David led the company’s most profitable business, a prolific acquisition and divestiture program, and oversaw 10+ business de-integrations.

Earlier in his career, David led strategy for Honeywell’s Electronic Solutions Business, supported the leadership team of Northrop Grumman to address a range of financial, strategic, and operational challenges, and spent several years as an investment banker and private equity investor in middle-market aerospace & defense.

Given his relevant experience and the market opportunity, David is excited to be working with Montage Partners in pursuit of this search for high quality companies in the aerospace & defense sector.

David earned his Bachelor of Science from Virginia Commonwealth University where he studied finance and is also a CFA Charterholder (inactive).
